Support Services

Support that fits around your life.

We provide support work at home and in the community, for children, young people and adults. What that looks like depends entirely on you.

Where we can help

You might want support with one thing or a few. We’ll work with you to find what fits.

Daily Living

Everyday life looks different for everyone. We can support you with the parts of your day where an extra pair of hands, some prompting, or someone alongside you would be helpful. We take the time to understand your routines, preferences and how you like things done. The aim is not to take over, but to provide the level of support that works for you while respecting the things you want to do independently.

Support might include

Morning and evening routines
Getting ready for the day
Planning and organising your day
Support with everyday tasks at home
Building routines that work for you
Practising everyday living skills
Support to become more independent with tasks, if that is your goal

Community Access

Getting out into the community should be about doing things that are meaningful or enjoyable to you. For one person that might mean a busy day out, while for someone else it might be a quiet trip to the shops or a familiar café. We can support you to access the community in a way that feels comfortable, predictable and suited to your interests, preferences and goals.

Support might include

Shopping and running errands
Going to cafés, parks or local places you enjoy
Attending appointments
Going to events or activities
Exploring new places at your pace
Practising community skills
Building confidence getting out and about
Having someone alongside you while you do the things you enjoy

Personal Care

Personal care is personal, and you should have a say in how you are supported. We can assist with personal routines in a way that respects your privacy, dignity, communication and preferences. We will take the time to understand what you are comfortable with, what you can do independently and where you would like assistance.

Support might include

Showering and bathing
Dressing
Grooming and personal hygiene
Toileting routines
Getting ready for bed or the day
Prompts or reminders where helpful
Support to participate in as much of your own routine as you choose

Transport Assistance

Being able to get where you need or want to go can make a big difference to everyday life. We can provide transport support as part of your supports, whether you are heading somewhere important or simply going somewhere you enjoy. We can also work alongside you to build confidence with different ways of getting around if that is something you want to do.

Support might include

Getting to appointments
Travelling to work or activities
Shopping trips
Visiting friends, family or places that matter to you
Getting to social and recreational activities
Travelling Training
Planning trips and learning familiar routes
Building confidence travelling in the community

Meal Preparation

Food and cooking can be about much more than preparing a meal. You might love being involved in the kitchen, want to learn a few new skills, need some help getting things organised, or prefer someone to take care of certain parts. We can work alongside you based on your preferences, routines, culture, sensory needs and the level of involvement you want.

Support might include

Planning meals
Writing shopping lists
Grocery shopping
Preparing ingredients
Cooking meals together
Learning or practising cooking skills
Organising meals for the week
Supporting routines around food and mealtimes

Household Tasks

Your home is your space, and there is no single right way it needs to look or be organised. We can provide practical support with household tasks based on what is important to you. This might mean doing some tasks together, helping with the parts that are difficult or taking care of particular jobs so you have more time and energy for other things.

Support might include

Cleaning
Laundry
Changing bedding
Tidying and organising
Washing dishes
Putting groceries away
Keeping on top of regular household routines
Working alongside you to build household skills if you want to

Social & Recreation

Having a good life includes having opportunities to do things you genuinely enjoy. Social and recreational support does not have to mean joining groups or being more social than you want to be. We start with your interests and what connection, fun and downtime look like for you, then support you to do more of what matters.

Support might include

Going to activities you already enjoy
Exploring a new hobby or interest
Going to the gym, movies, sporting events or concerts
Spending time outdoors
Attending community groups or events
Catching up with friends
Finding activities that match your interests
Having someone alongside you while you explore something new

Skill Building

There might be something you want to learn, practise or feel more confident doing. We can work alongside you to build skills through everyday experiences rather than taking over. There is no expectation that independence has to be the goal. Sometimes the goal is simply having more choice, confidence or involvement in the things that matter to you.

Support might include

Cooking and preparing meals
Shopping and managing a shopping list
Using public transport
Planning and following routines
Organising appointments or activities
Practising communication and self advocacy
Building confidence in the community
Learning everyday household skills
Working towards something that is personally important to you

Employment Support

If work is something you want to explore, we can provide practical support around the everyday parts of getting ready for and participating in employment.

Support can change over time as you become more familiar and confident in your role.

Support might include

Getting ready for work
Establishing a work routine
Travelling to and from work
Organising what you need for your shift
Building confidence in workplace routines
Practising communication and workplace skills
Managing changes to routines
Working towards greater independence at work if that is important to you

Health & Wellbeing

Wellbeing is personal. It might mean being active, having a routine that works for you, getting enough downtime, attending appointments or simply having more opportunities to do things that make you feel good. We can support the everyday parts of your health and wellbeing based on what matters to you, without deciding what a healthy or meaningful life should look like for you.

Support might include

Going for walks or being active in ways you enjoy
Attending health appointments
Going to the gym or recreational activities
Building everyday routines
Getting out of the house
Making time for interests and activities you enjoy
Supporting balance between activities, responsibilities and downtime
Working towards your own health and wellbeing goals

Flexible arrangements

Support doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. You might want regular ongoing shifts, support for a shorter period, or something that changes over time. We can work with what suits you, including overnight support where needed.
